The Global Location Number (GLN) of a company is a unique identifier assigned by the local branch of GS1 (there are local branches in more than one hundred countries). It is the digital form of an EAN 13. The first numbers are the country code. The following numbers are structured at the initiative of the local GS1 office. The thirteenth and final number is, as with any EAN13, the control key. In France, GS1 France has decided to structure the central part as follows: country code (3 in France) followed by 01 (supplier) or 02 (distributor), then CNUF Company, followed by an internal code chosen by the company to differentiate its various locations-functions.
